The Rolex 5513/0 Military or so called „MILSUB“ is of course one of the rarest and most sought after variations amongst all Submariners. It is believed, that approximately 1000 pieces of this
model have been produced - but just a fraction of this number is still in existence.
Upon request of the British
Ministry Of Defense, Rolex Geneva began production of this modified Submariner - variation around 1971.

The most significant modifications towards any other regular Submariner bearing the same reference were the fixed bars to mount a nylon strap or to fix it properly on the so called „divers
board“. Moreover the dial shows a "T" in a circle which refers to the use of Tritium as luminous material. Originally Rolex Geneva delivered
those timepieces as described to Rolex UK, and mounted the regular „Mercedes-Hands“ - the bezel insert was as well the regular one with the minute - scale up to 15 minutes.
After arrival on the island followed the typical military engraving on the outer case back, before delivery to the Royal Navy which distributed the timepieces internally. Due to the extreme
complexity and above all to confirm the authenticity of such a rare collectors piece it is recommended to have as well a proof from Rolex UK as from Rolex Geneva to guarantee the authenticity of
such a particular watch and in order to be sure, that a present timepiece of this model - range has left the motherhouse in Geneva, been delivered to Rolex UK and been handed over to the British Royal Navy, exact in this configuration. Trust is a good thing, but control
is a better one.
Our MILSUB has been manufactured in 1974 and delivered through Rolex UK the following year to the British Royal Navy. This stunning watch is still today in its delivery condition and has been serviced through Rolex UK and overhauled and
guaranteed by Rolex Geneva. In addition we supply a letter of confirmation from Rolex UK regarding the delivery in 1975. Case, dial and hands still remain in outstanding and perfect
condition. For collectors and any connaisseur a truly rare opportunity - in this condition and fully documented absolutely extraordinary.
